1. In order to expedite the processing, filing and publication of your Fictitious Business Name Statement (hereinafter, DBA), we have adopted these TERMS AND CONDITIONS (hereinafter, TERMS). By clicking on the box in front of the words, "I agree to your Terms and Conditions" button on our website, you acknowledge that you have thoroughly read, understood and agreed to our TERMS.

2. If there are any typographical errors in your DBA, you agree that your only remedy is for us to re-file your DBA without the error. We are not responsible for errors and omissions that you have caused. Who is responsible for any error, is at our sole discretion to determine.

3. If there are any typographical errors in our publication of your DBA, you agree that your only remedy is for us to re-publish your DBA without the error. We are not responsible for errors and omissions that you have caused. Who is responsible for any error, is at our sole discretion to determine.

4. You understand that your DBA will become a permanent public record at the Los Angeles County Clerk Registrar Recorderís Office ('"RRCC"). As such, anyone can look it up for any purpose. We are not responsible therefore, for the privacy of your record with the RRCC. We will not, however, release your telephone number or e mail address.

5. The Los Angeles County Clerk Registrar Recorder will only accept original signatures. Therefore, you agree to grant us a limited power of attorney to sign your name to your DBA form. You agree that this is a ministerial act on our part, and does not indicate that we represent your interests in any way.

6. If the RRCC accepts your DBA or other document for filing, this does not mean that you have the exclusive right to use a particular Fictitious Business Name, in violation of the rights of another person or corporation.

7. Throughout this agreement, WE means the Santa Monica Observer Newspaper, the Santa Monica Outlook LLC, the Santa Monica Media Company LLC, its agents, employees and assigns. YOU means the user of this website. The plural includes the singular, and the reverse

8. You acknowledge that you understand we are a newspaper, and that WE are NOT attorneys. Therefore we cannot represent you in any legal matter, nor can we provide you with legal advice. For legal advice, we suggest you consult an attorney. You agree that nothing in our website constitutes legal advice, and that we have not provided you with legal advice or legal representation.
